The Forest & Nature Lab of Ghent University (ForNaLab, Department of Environment, Faculty of Bioscience Engineering, Ghent University) focuses on interactions between ecological processes, composition and structure in ecosystems, with a clear link to management. ForNaLab has ample experience on forest microclimates, plant and invertebrate ecology and climate change, with a specific focus on the role of microclimate buffering of plant responses to global warming in temperate forest understories at multiple spatiotemporal scales.
