(ORCID: 0000-0002-4419-5757) Dr. Rafiq Hamdi obtained a PhD in 2005 at the Institut d'Astronomie et de géophysique G. Lemaître in the field of urban meteorology. He got funding for more than 10 projects from different sources (national, European, and China Academy of Science) and he has (co)-authored 81 peer reviewed publications and 12 book chapters (h-index 25 Google Scholar) on topics mostly related to urban climate research and land-atmosphere interaction modeling. He is lead author for the IPCC AR6 report published in august 2021. In August 2019 he was contributing author for the latest IPCC special report on climate change and land (SRCCL, 2019). Since January 2022, he is lead author of the summary for urban policymakers (SUP) IPCC report.
